Established in 1991, the Austin office is located just miles north of downtown. The office currently services hundreds of Guard and Patrol accounts throughout the Austin area. GuardTexas has provided temporary and permanent security solutions throughout Texas for more than 40 years. Our highly specialized services include armed and unarmed Security Officers, a fleet of Mobile Patrol vehicles and fully customized Special Operations.

Leadership
Before coming to GTX, Mike served as the Global Crisis Management Lead on the Global Security Team for a Fortune 500 company.
The first twenty years of his career, Mike served in both the US Marines and as a Police Officer in Lawrence, Kansas. Since 2001, he has worked in the private security sector, having led, trained, and developed both law enforcement and private security teams.
Mike has a strong foundation in the emergency management field, and is certified in NIMS, FEMA and Incident Command Systems. He has been invited as a guest speaker, at the International Crisis Management Conference, and has taught both security and crisis management best practices, to business leaders in North America, Asia and Europe.
